Books are checked out for one week, but can be renewed on your next library visit.
4 year olds through the 6th grade visit the library weekly. Lost, damaged or past due fines need to be paid. Past due fines accrue weekly.
We are in desperate need of any Childrens DVD's or books with CD's. Examples: Dr. Seuss, Berenstain Bears, Christmas, Charlie Brown, Biblical, PG Sports, Hallmarks, etc. Books with CD's are excellent for the smaller children. We would like to increase our video section for our teachers to check out on inclement weather days.
We continually take new or slightly used books. You can drop them off at the library anytime.
The last day for AR testing will be May 12.
All books need to be turned in for the year on May 11, 2017.
I will send out notices for past due and lost books.
AR is a computer program that helps teachers and librarians manage and monitor children’s independent reading practice. Your child picks a book at his own level and reads it at his own pace. When finished, your child takes a short quiz on the computer. (Passing the quiz is an indication that your child understood what was read.) AR gives children, teachers, and librarians feedback based on the quiz results, which the teacher then uses to help your child set goals and direct ongoing reading practice.
